Artworks for Bro Ddyfi Community Hospital in Machynlleth

This project was a collaboration with Artist Di Ford.

We held a series of community workshops and created three large scale artworks for the hospital in response.

We chose a theme for each artwork informed by the most common themes that came up in the workshops; the river, community and nature. These highlight what is important to the local community and what they’d like to see reflected in their hospital.

The Sunday Long Read

I have worked on a range of editorial illustrations for news site The Sunday Long read

as well as banner illustrations for their main site.

They wanted to play on the ‘sun’ in Sunday and bring in an element of paper texture, I used the logo as the sun in a solar system, the setting sun and a compass. I tried to bring the stars in on each one. I also used newsprint as texture on some of the planets. The colours reflect their brand style guide.

TriTech & Value Based Healthcare

Away Day 2023

I was approached by NHS Wales to live illustrate their TriTech and VBHC Conference in February 2023. I love the challenge and fast paced experience of live illustrating. I sketched the keynote speakers as well as the team building activities.

These were shared live on the day but after the event I also worked on adapting them into large scale images for print to be displayed in staff areas.

Prints of my illustrative work are available in CODI Crafted by Hand in Newport, Pembrokeshire.

I co-run this independent shop and creative space alongside six other local artists and makers.

I helped develop the visual identity for the shop and social media as well as designing printed media and painting murals in store.
