About/Contact

Hi, I’m Gemma.

An animator, director and illustrator from Pembrokeshire.

In my 10 years of professional experience I have worked for clients including Penguin Books, The School of Life, Tate, BBC and ITV.

Alongside commercial work I develop my own short films and have a keen interest in documentary, the potential of animation to tell real stories and a passion for community engagement.

I strive to create inclusive, engaging, and emotionally stimulating work.

My films have been shown at numerous festivals including London Short Film Festival, and featured on the National Geographic Short Film Showcase.

I have also worked on community arts projects with National Theatre Wales, Mind Pembrokeshire and Span Arts and am an experienced bi-lingual workshop leader.

  • "Gemma brought the politics and poetry of the Egyptian Surrealists to life through a thrillingly creative and varied approach, making one of Tate's most popular videos in 2022. She was a great collaborator, sharing inspiring ideas and concepts, and always offering creative solutions when obstacles came our way. Looking forward to working with Gemma on more projects in the future!"
